About us
SaptaRang Cultural Society is a registered non-profit based in Vancouver, representing the vibrant North East Indian community of Canada. The name “SaptaRang” — meaning “Seven Colours” — reflects the seven states of North East India and the diversity we proudly celebrate. SaptaRang was founded by a group of Vancouver residents originally from India’s North East. United by a shared love for their roots, they envisioned a society that would serve as both a cultural hub and a platform for community service. Today, SaptaRang stands as a bridge — connecting traditions of the East with the inclusivity of the West.
Our approach
Our Mission

Our Vision
To nurture harmony and inclusivity by sharing the cultural richness of North East India while upholding the values of diversity, unity, and community service that define Canada.
President's Message
Saptarang was built on the idea that our culture is a vibrant spectrum—stronger and more beautiful when we all come together. Our members are the heart of everything we do, from celebrating our rich heritage to supporting the next generation. As we represent and celebrate the diverse traditions from the land of the Eight Sisters (the Seven Sisters and Sikkim), we invite you to join us in keeping our unique heritage alive. Whether you are here to reconnect with your roots or meet new friends, we are honored to have you with us. Let's thrive together!
